Buenos Aires, Dec. 4 (NA) – The Tax Collection and Customs Agency (ARCA) has simplified the import of classic cars through General Resolution 5796/2025, published this Thursday in the Official Bulletin.
The agency incorporated the digital submission of licenses, permits, certificates, and other documents into the National Single Window for Foreign Trade of Argentina (VUCEA) for the import of Classic Motor Vehicles (VAC).
The official text, analyzed by Noticias Argentinas news agency, highlighted that the measure was made possible through the joint work of the VUCEA National Regime's Executive Unit and various ARCA areas, as “computer mechanisms and information exchange systems have been developed that allow for the inclusion of the authorization for the import of Classic Motor Vehicles (VAC) into VUCEA”.
In this way, the national revenue authority seeks to digitize and speed up the process for collectors and interested parties wishing to bring historical vehicles into the country.
In this regard, it was established that from now on, the procedure will be centralized in the Directorate of Evaluation and Industrial Promotion, which will be responsible for communicating the import approval directly to the General Customs Directorate (DGA) electronically.
Valuing the decision, which will take effect 10 business days after its publication in the Official Bulletin, ARCA clarified that the regulation complies with Decree No. 110/99, which covers the import of used cars under the category of “collectible model” or of historical interest.
